What is the fat energy percentage?
The fat energy percentage indicates the fat’s proportion of the product’s energy content. It can be calculated as follows:
(See declaration of kJ and declaration of fat per 100g in the nutritional declaration. 1g fat always gives 37kJ (c.f. EU norm).
Fat energy percentage = Fat per 100g x 37 kJ x 100

3g fat x 37 kJ x 100 = 21.4%

What replaces the fat?
Only very lean meat is used. In addition, vegetable fibre, water and starch are used instead of fat.
What are phosphates?
Phosphates allow water to be retained in a product and change its consistency.
We have chosen not to add phosphates to DEN GRØNNE SLAGTER products. Products without added phosphates have more natural consistency and a softer texture. DEN GRØNNE SLAGTER also only contains a minimum of additives
Do the products contain milk?
The liver patés contain skimmed milk powder in order to prevent discolouration. There are no milk products added in other DEN GRØNNE SLAGTER products.
Do the products contain gluten?
No, there is no gluten added in DEN GRØNNE SLAGTER products.
Can the products be frozen?
Liver paté is not ideal for freezing because it becomes “gritty” during freezing.
Other products:
We recommend that DEN GRØNNE SLAGTER products are consumed immediately although they can be frozen. The best results are obtained through rapid freezing. When the products are thawed, they may produce water due to their lack of added phosphates.
How long can the products be kept after opening?
All products carry the designation “to be used by” and “storage after opening” on the label.
Why can’t we get the full range in all stores?
We would like to supply the complete range of DEN GRØNNE SLAGTER. The multiples, however, determine the ranges themselves depending on the size of the stores. This is why not all lines are available in every store.
